Coach House History

The Coach House was part of the old Manor of Bexhill which was built on the area of land in the Old Town of Bexhill given to the Church by King Offa in the Charter of 772AD.

This was "to serve the praise of God".  

At one time, the Manor House was used by the Bishops of Chichester as their residence when they were in East Sussex.
